For Teachers

You can find activities and experiments related to solar power here and also browse The Science pages where you can find details about the energy crisis, solar power, other renewable energies and more.

We are all scientists! Here are some fun experiments and activities that allow you and your pupils explore solar energy! You can find out why the sky is blue but the sunset is red, make plants glow in the dark, and even make very own rainbow inside a box!

Solar power is linked to the school curriculum at different levels and in different subjects. You can find here some suggested links to the curriculum, not just for science but for design and technology, geography and citizenship as well!

Our resources can also be found in the National STEM Centre e-Library and there is an online community to discuss our resources too.
